At Stitchly, your privacy is our top priority. Our Chrome extension is designed from the ground up to operate entirely on your local device. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding your data when you use the Stitchly extension.

1 Information We Do Not Collect

Our philosophy is simple: we don't collect, store, or transmit your data. Because Stitchly handles all operations within your browser, we have no servers, meaning:

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, IP address).
• We do not track your browsing history or behavior.
• We do not upload your screenshots to any external cloud servers.
• We do not use analytics software to monitor your usage of the extension.

2 Local Data Storage

All data generated by Stitchly, specifically the screenshots you capture and any edited versions, are stored exclusively on your device inside your browser's local sandbox (IndexedDB).

This data never leaves your device unless you manually choose to export or save it to another location. If you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data, all stored captures will be permanently deleted.

3 Required Permissions

Stitchly asks for certain Chrome extension permissions purely to enable its core functionality. None of these permissions are used to extract data from your device:

• activeTab / <all_urls> Required to access the webpage you are currently viewing so the extension can scroll and capture the contents when you initiate a stitch.
• storage / unlimitedStorage Required to save your preferences and locally store your captured screenshots in your browser.
• downloads Required to allow you to seamlessly export and save your final stitched images to your device's filesystem.
• offscreen Required for the off-screen background rendering to stitch image fragments together cleanly without interrupting your active browsing session.

4 Third-Party Access

Because your data never leaves your device, we cannot and do not share any data with third parties. There are no third-party APIs, analytics trackers, or external services integrated into the core functioning of the Stitchly extension.
